Yorketown Community Children's Centre

Welcome to Yorketown
Community Children's Centre

Yorketown is centrally located on lower Yorke Peninsula. The Centre offers Rural Care, Preschool and Playgroup services. The Centre is open from 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, except public holidays and from Christmas until early in the new year.

The Rural Care program services about 30 children in it's long day care, before and after school care programs and holiday programs. Our Rural Care program is an accredited program under the National Childcare Accreditation Council.

The Preschool Program has an average of 15 children. The Kindergarten program has two main feeder schools; Yorketown Area School (Department of Educations and Children's Services) and St Columba's Memorial School (Catholic Education Board). We offer 2 full days of Kindergarten, 6 weeks pre-entry, and a Preschool Support Program as needed. The school bus service is available to children in their eligible year of Kindergarten.

Our Playgroup is a parent run program where families are invited to attend the Playgroup for a small fee to cover costs.
